Thompson Lead-Free Opaque Enamel Color 1996 Black is a vibrant, safe choice for jewelry and metalwork. This lead-free enamel fires at a medium temperature, delivering durable, true-black coverage for metal surfaces and specialty clays.
Designed for a broad range of substrates, it yields a rich opaque black on silver, copper, gold, and low-carbon steel. It works well with silver clay, copper clay, and gold clay, enabling mixed-media jewelry and art pieces that resist wear.
Firing range: 1400°F–1500°F. Coefficient of expansion: 258–360. Size: 2 oz jar. This combination delivers consistent color and reliable coverage in every coat.
