What makes the Ultra Thread Zap special are a retractable tip for added safety, a more ergonomic & compact design for greater comfort. Battery-operated (two AAA, not included). Please note that the tips get extremely hot, so use caution. Keep away from children, skin, and flammable materials and store with the safety clip in place. This package contains one 4-7/8" x1" x 1-1/4" inch thread zap ultra and one extra tip that is stored in an interior top compartment.Instructions: Remove safety clip and push the button forward and hold - the tip will heat up instantly. While continuing to push the button, briefly touch the thread where you want to cut, melt, or burn it. Components in the adjacent area may remain hot for 1-2 seconds.
