Foredom K.2245 LX Series Flex Shaft Machine Deluxe Stone Setting Kit - 110 Volts
This professional kit by Foredom® is ideal for stone setting and other precision tasks. The high-torque, low-speed motor offers the user more control. The handpieces are specifically designed for rapid bur changes; therefore improves productivity. 110 volts; 1.2 amps. Includes a two-year limited manufacturer's warranty on the motor and foot control only.
Components:
• Series LX Motor: These permanent magnetic motors are specifically designed for high-torque and low-speed applications, offering more power for jobs like stone setting, wax modeling, and pearl drilling. The M.LX, M.LXM, and M.LXB ball bearing motors feature full power and torque from start up and throughout the entire speed range up to 5,000 RPM. Ideal for use with Foredoms drill presses. They also are well matched with the H.18, H.15 and H.15D Quick Change and Hammer Handpieces for stone setting (sold separately). It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging, and our standard 39" long key-tip shafting for connecting to any of Foredoms interchangeable, quick disconnect handpieces.
• C.TXR Speed Control: This slip-resistant control also has a different style plug that is made to fit the motor's shielded-type plug. It features solid state circuitry in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide footprint, low profile, and non-skid pads on the bottom. Measures: 7-1/4" long x 4-1/2" wide x 2-1/2" high.
• H.18 Quick Change Handpiece: For use with only 2.35 mm (3/32") shank burs. A press lever action is all that is required to change accessories. It features a very slim grip and pre-lubricated ball bearings that do not require any lubrication. Measures: 7" long x 19/32" in diameter.
• H.15 Hammer Handpiece: Designed with a hammering rather than rotary action for use at low speed (0 - 5,000 RPM) by jewelers for stone, prong, and bezel setting, plus decorative and pave texturing work. Comes with HP10177 Anvil Point. It requires periodic lubrication. Hammer has 1/32" stroke and its impact can be adjusted from light to heavy by turning the silver knurled adjusting ring. Measures: 6-1/4" long x 1/4" in diameter at the tip.
• AK90 Accessory Kit: A 13-piece assortment of step drills and steel engraving burs in small round bur holder. Also includes one tube of flexible shaft grease. • High-torque, low-speed Foredom® Series LX, DC permanent magnet 1/10hp motor achieves speeds up to 5,000rpm. • Slim, comfortable H.18 quick-change handpiece with permanently lubricated ball bearings and a 3/32" (2.3mm) collet. • Adjustable-impact, 1/32"-stroke H.15 hammer handpiece with an anvil point for prong-, channel- and bezel-setting; a diamond point for pavé texturing; and a carbide stylus for texturing. • Slip-resistant Foredom TXR variable-speed electronic foot control. • Flexible shaft with quick-detach feature that accepts any Foredom handpiece except H.30H and H.44HT. • 13-piece accessory kit for stone-setters, which includes 12 Swiss-made burs in a plastic stand with cover.

So far I’m loving this bench. I’ve had it less than a week but I am impressed not only by the workbench but by the customer care at PMC Supplies. The bench arrived in three boxes that were not too heavy that I needed help going upstairs. There were probably 20 wood pieces and a hefty bag of hardware, but in just about two hours I assembled the workbench myself. The top of the bench was cracked upon opening, which was odd since it was inside three boxes. When I contacted PMC Supplies about this, they offered to replace the top or refund part of my purchase price so I could repair it myself. In any case, the bench and shelf have plenty of room for nearly all my tools. I’ve been able to empty three medium to small tool bags and fully stock the bench. I’ve added a flex shaft mount and tool and I will be adding drawer pulls to the drawers to make them easier to open.
Pros

Cons
Wood is somewhat soft, maybe pine? Doesn’t really matter as any bench will show signs of wear over time.
Holes on shelves are too small for some tools, particularly hammers.
Top was cracked upon arrival but PMC Supplies made it right.
This is the perfect product for my sand casting applications! It packs the petrobond well - and easy to use. Highly recommend!

I have been on the lookout for a more affordable diamond coated tipped tweezers and I have finally found them! I'm not a jewelry maker but I use these for volume eyelash extensions. There is a lash company called Novalash that makes a pair but it is $104 and I couldn't fathom spending that on one pair. I went on the hunt like a hawk to find a pair of diamond dusted tweezers at a more affordable price and found them on your site. Please don't discontinue these tweezers and I would like to know if you are going to carry more straight tweezers with Diamond Coated tips? Thank you PMC supplies!
Great furnace great customer service.
I received the kit in 2 days. Crazy fast. I ran it through a bag of cans to see how it works. I could feed it a can every ±20 seconds. Works great. I'm confident this will be a good addition to my pour process.
This crucible is absolutely worth every penny! Been kicking the heck out of this thing for a year and a half, still rocking. I actually cracked it on the side from a thermal variance (my fault-newbie), and it healed itself again. The vitrification is essentially self healing. I am here to buy another, a larger one, right now.
Great furnace! I’m new to this hobby, so I wasn’t sure about this website or this product but both have been excellent! The furnace has had about 10 fires and other than some discoloration, no real issues. The stone in the bottom broke around the 8th fire but still does the job. This furnace can get hot enough to melt copper EASY. I haven’t tried anything else yet.
Absolutly perfect for brass and aluminum used several times and never have problems looks just like I just took out of the box 5 star
I love this furnace, I am very pleased with my purchase, it will be useful for a very long time. If unsure which furnace to get, this one will certainly not disappoint... Have fun!
