Sand Casting Set with 10 Lbs of Petrobond, Tongs, Graphite Crucible, Cast Iron Mold Flask Frame, Parting Powder, Flux, & Safety Gear is ut of stock and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

This inclusive set is ideal for metal melting and sand casting applications! Includes (10) lbs of Quick Cast Sand Casting Clay, a 2-Piece Cast Iron Mold Flask Frame, Hinge-Style Tongs, a No. 3 - 4 Kg Graphite Foundry Crucible, Anhydrous Borax Casting Flux, Parting Powder, Heat-Resistant Safety Gloves, and an Oberon Face Shield.

Our Quick Cast is an ultra-fine, oil-bonded and pre-mixed moldable clay/sand mixture that allows you to cast highly detailed silver, gold, and copper materials. This method allows you to virtually duplicate dimensional objects (such as ancient coins, toys, wax, wood, plastics, etc.) with gold, copper, bronze, or silver using this reusable clay. Great for jewelry making. The molds can be made from objects composed of wood, wax, epoxy, plastics, and metal. Quick Cast Sand sand is a cost-effective way to cast your items. Not recommended for designs with undercuts. This is a Delft Clay alternative.

The mold flask is sturdy cast iron vessel that is ideal for use with our casting sand/clay. Measures: 4-3/4" x 3" x 2".

Tongs are 19" long and made from sturdy black carbon. Firmly grips onto the lip of the crucible.

Graphite Foundry Crucibles are made from a combination of graphite and clay, and are recommended for melting your precious, or non-precious metals and can handle large batches of material. Their thick inner walls can handle direct heat and open-flame foundries. Rated to withstand temperatures up to 1560F to 2912F (850C to 1600C). Measurements: 5-1/4" high x 4-3/4" in diameter (exterior dimensions); 4-3/4" deep x 3-3/4" in diameter (interior dimensions). The "#" in the title represents the amount of aluminum that the crucible can accommodate (in pounds); the "Kg" is for the amount of kilograms of brass and copper capacities; other metal volumes will vary.

The 13" long-split cowhide welding gloves are ideal for refining precious metals, such as gold, silver, and copper during high-heat temperature applications. They also work well for handling casting tools such as ingot molds, tongs, and crucibles. Designed with a protective flannel lining. One size fits most.

Anhydrous borax aids in keeping your molten metals at a liquified state, and helps draw out impurities.

Oberon Face Shield with Ratchet Headgear: Offers reliable heat protection during high-radiant heat applications such as foundries, steel mills, even investment casting operations. Oberon's metallized face shields send heat back to where it came from due to its reflective metallized face. This heat-resistant shield is designed with a scratch-resistant, polycarbonate surface, and features a wide-view. Includes a safety shield and an adjustable head ratchet.

Safety First: Always wear heat-resistant gloves and face protection, as well as a safety apron. Intended for adult use only.
